Contact has been made with the OK Dinghy International Association and a number of people are discussing next steps to formally constitute the association in Ireland. It’s likely that we’ll be an “Associated” association for a while before becoming a fully fledged national association. Our efforts were mentioned in the International Association newsletter and we’re in regular contact with them.
Also, we need to define the formal involvement of the Irish Sailing Association – with measurers, race officers, national championships, etc., all to be scoped.
The association logos are either a bunch of shamrock with the abbreviated name of the association “IOKDA” alongside or a green OK Dinghy symbol with the word “IOKDA” below.
The working version of the class constitution can be inspected here. This document is a work in progress and must not be distributed or copied for any purpose whatsoever.
